Buffalo Wings and Rings is a Cincinnati based American restaurant chain that specializes in casual dining food products like Chicken wings, Burgers, Greek Gyros and more recently Hog Wings. Buffalo Wings and Rings is also known for its special sauces. There are over 40 Buffalo Wing and Rings locations [1] in the United States, and it was recently recognized as the fastest growing restaurant chain award by the Restaurant Magazine.[2] While all the locations are run by independent Franchisees, the company started its first location as a training and Franchisee development center in Cincinnati.[3] In addition to its free standing and super sports bar model, in July 2008, the company launched its express model to cater to larger carry out/fast food clientele.

Buffalo Wings and Rings was an ailing network with 7 locations in the Greater Cincinnati area. In 2005, the company was acquired by Philip Schram a chemical engineer turned restaurateur, Nader Masadeh and Haytham David to develop the company into a national franchise. Since its acquisition, the company has grown to over 40 locations across 15 states in the US. Philip Schram is a strong advocate of Edward Deming's PDCA process cycle and is based on systems and methodology. Also, according to its advertisement, "absolutely everything is really so crazy". Although this has never been confirmed.[4] Buffalo Wings and Rings was recognized for development of the local business environment by Clermont County commissioner.[5]
Philip Schram is also an avid locomotive enthusiast and has influenced a themed décor in some of the restaurant locations. It is a part of the standard décor package for all new restaurants.[6] Locomotive memorabilia or G scale rail car décor is showcased at several locations. Examples can be seen at the Cincinnati locations in Loveland, Tri County, Liberty Township, and Union Township locations. At the Union Township location children can press the control button in the dining room to set the train in motion.
